How does the Disney Turnpike sound to you? Or maybe the Wal-Mart High-Speed Rail Line?
Rep. Irv Slosberg has filed a bill that would allow companies to buy the naming rights for all kinds of state transportation assets, including highways, roads, on-and-off ramps, toll facilities, parks or railways. Slosberg has even drawn up an illustration as an example, showing what road signs for a Disney Turnpike might look like. Yes, the depiction includes Mickey Mouse ears.
