Forsyth County schools may look to advertisers for funding help

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system may soon invite companies to advertise in local schools in a move that could eventually raise hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Nothing has been decided, but board members have given the system’s marketing director and spokesman, Theo Helm, the go-ahead to work up a potential contract with Education Funding Partners. The Colorado-based group pools together school systems across the country, making them more attractive to large companies looking to run marketing campaigns.
