Governor wants to sell naming rights for roads, bridges

In the future, you might cross the Geico Bridge instead of the Falmouth Bridge. Or travel the Wawa stretch of Interstate 95.
Gov. Bob McDonnell is proposing to sell naming rights to Virginia’s transportation infrastructure to raise money for road and bridge maintenance.
Private entities could pay to put their names on roads, bridges, interchanges and other parts of the road network. How much it would cost wasn’t specified.
