Plan for ads on Parkland buses stalls

The Parkland School Board put the brakes on plans to sell advertisements inside school buses, postponing a vote on the measure for a future meeting.
The measure stalled after a few board members decided they wanted more time to explore the issue and address concerns raised by residents at Tuesday’s meeting.
Andrew Bench of Upper Macungie Township opposed the plan and questioned the message it could send to students.
“What type of lesson is that, to say if you have the money, you can have access to our children’s minds?” he said.
